What is the “Cameco uranium price”?
Cameco, one of the world’s largest uranium producers (17% of world output in 2024 according to the World Nuclear Association), publishes a free table of month-end uranium spot and long-term prices. Each value is the average of the month-end indicators published by the two main price reporters, UxC and TradeTech. Because it is free and goes back to 1988, it is the most widely cited public uranium price series — and the source for the charts on UraniumChart.com.

Cameco’s realized price vs the market price
Cameco sells most of its uranium under long-term contracts. Its average realized price — published every quarter — blends fixed-price and market-related contracts, so it tends to lag the spot price on the way up and cushion falls on the way down. When you search for “Cameco uranium price” you will usually want the published market indicators above, not the realized price.
